I agree with you about those ads. I also think that their more recent ads with Howie Long (NFL HOF player) are very effective. Just think of the ad where he mocks the fat guy trying to get down from the Ford truck bed...even though the step is a neat idea, the ad effectively casts it in a bad light, like "real men drive Chevy's and don't need steps". Just my 2 cents.
