Nope, Sherman Ave in Cd'A used to go to the front gate of Fort Sherman (hence the "Fort Grounds Tavern") That was W. T. Sherman's favorite post, to the extent that when they tried to get him to accept the Republican nomination for President he told them that "I'd rather live in a tent on the Coeur d'Alene river than in the White House". W.T. Had no grandchildren, however, so he's not the ancestor of anyone alive today.

As for snow, When I left Moscow this morning it was snowing pretty good up as far as Tensed. Saw 1 car, 1 van, and 1 SUV in the ditch. The SUV had rolled. There wasn't more than 2" of snow on the road, but I guess people forgot that "4WD" doesn't mean "can't slip". There was a semi trailer on its side on 4th of July pass, which made no sense at all because the road was bare and wet. We've got about an inch of slush in Wallace, but I expect another foot fell up higher today.

I was hoping to get the M37 together and try another trip over the hill before the snow got too deep, but I think I missed my chance. Now I have to figure out this lower radiator hose business and figure out how to get the heater plug out of the back end of the head, so I can get it back together and hook up the heater. No amount of wrenching plus kroil is getting that plug loose. I hate to take a torch to the plug, for fear I'll crack or warp the head, but it may come to that. What's your elevation up there in Sandpoint? We're at 2800' in Wallace.
