wax and grease remover = 100% virgin mineral spirits available at the hardware store for $20 gal.
Kirker epoxy primer about $100 for 2 gallons sprayable and it is sandable unlike the the ppg epoxy and less than half the price. (ebay)
Evercoat slicksand for the pits its a spray on polyester (sprayable body filler) that will give a good build compared to high build 2 part primer. It's about $60 gal. get a cheap primer gun with a large tip 19 or 21 or thin with thinners before spraying
The PPG products can get real expensive real fast. Although the are "supposedly" the best I've had good luck with other brands.
