I don't buy it. I will always just recore my stock rad if needed. Why downgrade. Charles does what appears to be some real nice work but just because he likes alumimum does not make it a better material. these systems run 0 to 3 pounds of pressure, the capacity of the massive core is way oversized. I have offroaded in mounatin trails in 90 degree weather with jeeps, toys, chevies, broncos some of which had amluminum radiators. I have never over heated with stock WC set up and have watched everything else get too hot out in the real world. Including the guys running aluminum. Aluminum is good for race cars wanting to lose weight to go faster but that is about it.
Another realization: in 24 years of driving and owning many PWs and WCs only 1 ever needed a recore! no Aluminum radiator will last 65 years. Electrolisis will turn it into dust.
