Like my trailer long wheelbase and tri axle will skid the tires less then a short trailer with tri axles. The math will tell you that.

Tires on a tandem dually trailer will skid also when you turn sharp to,, maybe just not as much.

Maybe that is why I have not worn out tires yet on my long tri axle trailer. I have never had to put new tires on yet in 80k miles?

I know what you mean sometimes the fenders get in the way but I can deal with that for the lower deck and lighter trailer, mine weighs 6200 lbs, and the same leght trailer with deck over and tandem dually axles weighs 9800 lbs, that a BIG differance in weight,,No
