Carb Question

Greetings all.. Just a quick quesiton..

My 54' FF (230 engine) has a glass bowl filter on the mechanical fuel pump. There is a second glass bowl filter on the carb. Is this the normal configuration?

The glass bowl on the carb is cracked (CARTER Brand) and Im having trouble finding one.
