Your statement is true for small trailers but only up to a certain size. My car hauler trailer requires its own policy, as does my 10 foot dump trailer. My M101 trailer does not need its own.
It is a common misconception that all trailers are automatically covered, folke would do well to ask their ins. agent point blank. It would really suck to find out it wasnt covered after it is in pieces along side the road.
