I would use DOT # 3, like the others said, it is most common. BUT, my next restore I am having Apple Hydraulics sleave the wheel cylinders as well as the master cylinder with stainless. We're doing that to all the trucks at the other shop because they sit to long, and it really helps. Don't know how much it will cost, but the last truck (49 Seagrave) cost about 600.00. There are 8 wheel cylinders though.(top and bottom). Next time you're down I'll explain more about it. George was the one who handled it. Talk to you soon....
