Interesting argument indeed. I want my restoration/repower to be very stout. I am running a 4bt cummins, a NV4500. For tires I have 11.00R16 XZL. I would love a rear locker. When off road, I am on a lot of slick rock and loose rock. This is a great debate on-line, poor discussion half-way to hunting camp with a broken axle. Seeing as how not much of this vehicle will be stock, I think I will probably follow the advice to use a NP205 or Atlas II and centered diff.
