Postal Money Order

I sent a postal money order to pay for an ad on the internet. The money order was cashed but my ad was never ran. I have asked my local post office about my options as of now. They really don't have any idea what I should do,( very small local office). Is this mail fraud? The reason I used a postal money order was for security and recourse. Anyone on hear have any idea of my options?
I know I should have ran it on here but it was a Chebby pickup. Didn't want to upset anyone.
