Apparently this guy has a few of these conversions. This particular one has been giving trouble in scuffing the tires real bad when trying to drive it around. The front wheels are turning faster than the rear. He knew something was wrong, so he tore it apart fully expecting to find 5.83 gearing. That is when he discovered it has had 4.89 gearing installed which had caused the problem. The gears in the drive unit are matched to whatever was used in the front axle (and tire size) and apparently are a lot harder to find than the Dodge ring and pinions.

I am interested in seeing his unit as he indicated that Elanco built their own 3rd member housing and case, at least in this later unit.
