We see and hear about these a couple times a year - there are some BIG fish here. When I lived in on one of the islands near the great barrier reef we hooked up a shark about 15' long, as we got it to the boat a BIG shark took one bite out of it and we only landed the head. There are books written by professionals (old timer Vic Hislop for one) that go a lot bigger than this. All good fun if you like fishing.
