The only difference between yours and mine is I reverse the screw so it is on the top. I found it takes less pull distance of the brake lever to tighten the band - works better. Also if you didn't apply some silicone under the drum nut washer, you might want to do so. It prevents oil from leaking and spinning towards the band.
