the slant six was probably one of longest lasting engines that mopar made > very reliable plenty of power and could go a great distance ,,,Umm the marine version is EXPLOSION PROOF !!!!! not water proof lol if that matters but even with a exp proof dist you MUST TURN THE BLOWER FANS ON in the engine compartment after refuelimg and before starting> on a vehilce if the cap , rotor and wires are good they can still run with a garden hose turned on them . if you submerge them well thats a different story ~ Copey
