Paul will pipe in with a ton of info on this conversion but in the mean time if your still up. the NP 200 is a divorced transfercase meaning it is not bolted to the transmission. Therefore you can put a whole variety of transmissions in front of it. That is the simplest way to convert your engine and transmsion is by converting then building the intermediate driveline to match. with the diesel 4.89s and a 5 speed would probably be enough but PWs can take a 39 inch tire or so without any clearance issues. dont let anyone tell you the NP200 is weak at all. It is extremely tough. Just ask Dave Cirillo. ;/)
