I have been thinking about getting a M-37 For some time now, and I plan to go look at one this weekend (has a blown engine but has PTO Winch) I would like to repower it with either a six cyl gas or a 4 cyl diesel. Well the diesel is outta my reach right now price wise, BUT, I can get my hands on a excellent running low milage 305E V6 out of a '66 GMC pickup. THe reason why my freind is pulling the V6 out is because he wants to repower it with a V8. How would one of those GMC V6 engines do in a M-37? How hard would it be to adapt this V6 to a NP540?
