I had a chance to buy a nearly perfect 1951 Diamond T 1-1/2 ton for $700.00 about 5 years ago from an elderly gentleman. I told him that he was asking much lower than it was worth, but that I would buy it for the $700.00 he was asking if he truly wanted to sell it for that price. He thought it over for a few days and called me to tell me that he was going to restore the old Diamond T and keep it. I may have missed a chance at a "real steal" but I feel good about how it all turned out anyway. The reward for this was immediate to me because I know I didn't take advantage of the man and he was motivated to take a renewed interest in the old truck that he has owned for nearly 50 years.
