I agree that you shouldn't screw the old fellow. I don't agree with the fact that an old truck found in a barn is neccessarily worth more than $850. I have bought several PW's for less than that and they were worth about what I paid for them.
2 days ago I towed my trailer 500 miles to pick up a car described as rust free, never any rust, no bodo, and perfect body. It was a rust bucket with severe cancer. I drove back home with an empty trailer.
I understand your anger against folks who rip off our elders but I think you need to look at that truck before you decide its true value.
