Build one with a diesel: 4 cyl Cummins or Perkins, 6.5L V8 or Detroit 3-53; 5spd or even 5 spd if it can be squeezed in length and $ wise; 4.89s, lockers; power steering; front disks; Michelins, 36-43" (41 and 43" on 20" rims); PTO, hydraulic pump and winch. You'll need at least a radar detector, my M37 tops out at 76 mph and will go 65-70 all day (400 miles till it runs out of fuel at 18 mpg at 65).
Sorry, don't want to seem like I'm bragging, but it's not to hard to build a truck like this. All you need is a sound low rust truck with intact axles, frame, springs and transfer case, maybe trannie too. Of course all the moving parts are rebuildable as we all know.
