i am the happy new owner of a dodge w-500 power wagon, originally built to serve the fremont, ca police department as a mobile field headquarters. the truck is about 26 feet long, has a gvw of 20,000 pounds, and sports a huge pto-driven gar wood winch on its formidable front bumper. power is from a 318 series 2, driving through an np450 all-synchro 5-speed, and some very low gearing at the axles. best of all, this power wagon has under 9,000 original miles on it! more info and pics to come soon (i hope.)
