Absolutely you want 4.89s with a 360. You could even benefit from an overdrive or OD 5 spd with the 360 with 4.89s. I put 4.89s on my WC53 with the stock motor and 36.5" tires and it does fine, going up moderate grades easily in 4th at 50 mph. A flathead must be in excellent condition to do well with 4.89s, however.
