Bruce:

Braden model MU-2 were the factory installed (and probably after-sale dealer installed) winches on Dodge Power Wagons. Tulsa and Gar Wood winches, if installed on a PW, might have come from WW II military surplus property or surplus trucks. These other brands may have been installed aftermarket by an independent winch dealer (or the PW owner), but probably not by the Dodge truck dealer who initially sold the PW.
Another winch available at that time for installation on a PW was the Koenig Iron Works KING brand winch, model 125U.

Most anything is possible, but it is rather unlikely that a Gar Wood winch would have been original equipment on a PW from a Dodge truck dealer. Many Gar Wood winches were used during WW II, especially on 2-1/2 ton GMC 6X6 trucks, and they were widely available after the war as surplus items. Most probably the Gar Wood winch was installed on the PW in the late 1940's or 1950's.
