The main problem will not be the springs or frame. I load mine up to 10K + or - from time to time. I have filled the bed to the top with gravel. The real problem are the brakes. They will not stop a fully loaded truck very well at all. I blew a stop sign this summer I had 1.5 yards of dry dirt in the bed. I left plenty of space and started to stop when I approached the light and even down shifted. The light turned red and I hit the brakes some more and down shifted to second with full brakes. I stopped on the far side of the light. Lucky no one was in front of me. The brakes were correctly adjusted with a power booster. I have brakes at 2" of peddle travel. Those drum brakes just fade so badly. I was going slightly down hill.

Now I need to get those disk brakes on it that have been sitting in the garage for awhile along with a hydro boost.
