For a 3 series carrier (4.10 and down, Spicer part number 706040X) Dimension A is 2.225"

For a 4 series carrier (4.56 and up Spicer part number 706041X) Dimension A is 2.360"

There may be thicker gears made to fit your series 3 carrier . A quick call to Randy's should do the job and they will be able to let you know what is available. I have set up enough of these things to know that it is not exactly fun . You need a special bearing puller that is not cheap - I made one and ground out a couple of old bearing which helped ease setting up the dana .
