Doc, take some of each, bake in oven for about an hour at 150 to200 and then take to shop and see which ones work with your welder. the 7018 h4r rods are a dc rod. they will run on ac but not well. any of the rods with ac in the number will run on ac current and be all right as long as they are dry and have not been wet at some time. I normally stay away from rods that I don't know the history of. you may be able to find out something at the local welding supply store, but I have found over the years that a lot of rods have a company name&number that only pertains to that one company, and you may not be able to find the specific use of a rod with an unfamililer number. practice with those or throw them away.
