Back in 2000, I dropped a 318 in my Power Wgaon using the helitool 318 kit. I wanted more room between the fan and radiator.

I turned the radiator Horseshoe Mount around 180 degrees and mounted the radiator on the front of the Horseshoe mount. This off centers the radiator fill neck so it wont fit thru the radiator shell. I had my radiator shop unsolder the top tank and turn it 180 degrees and solder it back in place. The radiator neck now fits the radiator shell perfectly. Since my Power Wagon already had the 251 engine, it had the Grill extensions in place. Since your WDX has the 230 engine, you will need to buy 2 grill extensions since your radiator stick a little further out. It worked perfect for me. I retained everything when I pulled the 'Gas Guzzling, Spark Infested' (hows that Steve ha ha) 318 and dropped a Cummins B3.9 in last winter.
