Weasels and Tuckers were designed for different purposes. The Tucker was intended to be strictly a snow vehicle, and the originals were designed for deep, unpacked snow (the wide-track "groomers" came along later). Consequently the Tucker sits up very high and it can go through the deepest snow without getting bogged down. The Weasel is a more of an ATV, designed to go on all sorts of rough terrain like mud, sand, and swamps besides snow, but I've heard (and believe) that they bog down pretty easily in deep snow. The tracks sink or dig down and they lay on their wide, flat bellies flailing away and getting nowhere. I've not had a chance to try one, but based on my experience with an Argo which is structurally similar, I can easily believe it. I'd like to have a Weasel if it fell into my lap, but in the mountains around here, I wouldn't take it off the groomed snowmobile trails.
