About 3 Forums ago,i posted on a problem with my D200 poly motor. It had a consistent "popping" in the exhaust that developed rather suddenly. After adjusting the valves, checking engine vacuum, rebuilding the carburator and replacing the spark plugs, all to no avail, I was stumped.

I also bought a new ECU (I had updated the ignition with the Chrysler electronic) and repalced the fuel filter. Finally after all of these attempt over the course of a year and a half (I was so frustrated I didn't want to work on it) I again pulled a spark plug at a time to determine which cylinder was the culprit, and again, found 2 that did not change the idle speed when disconnected. I replaced these 2 plug wires, and alas, it ran without popping. I also treated it to a new tank of gas and it runs like new.

Thanks to all for the suggestions from over a year ago and the one thing i learned, don't give up and check the basics.

Paul
