When I say crappy, I meant that model's tires longevity. Apparently this was a significant, large problem with hundreds, if not thousands of tires involved. Not all were hemi Chrysler 300's ("hot rods"). I can't speak for the who had it before me but the salesman knew him personally, sold him the car (he was the original owner) and a mature, local guy. I got the distinct impression that he was not abusing the car. I do not drive in an aggressive manner, either.
Those tires did hug the road fine,
I just think that non-aggressive tread highway tires should not be worn out by 20k with normal driving.
My tire guy who I trust does not like Continental tires in general based on his experience with them. I do not remember why. He sells many other brands including Michelin.
I have Dunlops on the car now, they seem to be wearing well so far and handle fine also.
You have a different model tire and apparently they are performing well. The ones on my car were a disappointment, and apparently the court agreed with a big financial settlement against Continental.
