First ride in my 1950 ffpw/ Question included

Well, got it home about 4 weeks ago and got it running last week and drove it around front yard(3acres) for the first time. Since this is my first ffpw, had to get out owners manual to figure things out, like 4wd, etc. Clutch was stuck at first, but after a minute or so "cruising" it freed up and worked ok. Not sure about 4wd? etc?
My question is what should I be looking for in drivetrain to see what I should be preparing for as I tear it down for restoration? signs of internal problems?
I have never riden in a ffpw, so not sure what things are normal and what is not normal?
