Power Steering Issues on WDX

Tomorrow the WDX will be driven out of the garage for a short spin around the block after roughly 500 years in restoration. There are still a lot of cosmetic issues to attend to but at least the beast will be moving under its own power. Assuming she doesn't overheat (a big if in AZ) many have complained that Heliotool's power steering conversion lacks road feel. I can't remember prior suggestions for fixing this but would welcome advice.
