There is a shiny ( or not so shiny) sheet behind the marbles to act as a reflector, and if that is rusty they'll be very dull.

I can't think of any reason you couldn't take one edge off and pull it apart, then re-assemble, but realistically you might want to have several spares and strip them all to make one or two good ones.

If you have an otherwise good unit with a chip in a marble, you can normally work at it and turn the marble round to hide the chip. You can also use marbles from the Anthes Forcee Oiler Co reflector or the King Bee Indestructable four-bolt reflector.

Strip the worst one you have and have a go, E-Pay will always provide another. they do come in amber as well as red.
