when a project is proposed, there are a lot of 'virtual buyers' and then when the price is developed or a deposit is required, you can hear the crickets chirp. the market is very small relative to the rest of the old car hobby. how much would you pay for a repop windshield? $1000, $1500??? unless you could sell 100 at $1000 it would likely not attract someone with the shop and machines to make it happen. guys like ray @ helitool had a full line business in addition to his dodge parts. i doubt he could make a living selling his entire product line. i can't imagine there are more than 500 sets of discs out there. maybe dan shockley, dave maher, or john bizal could opine here about the cost benefit. i know the big holdback on the repro fenders is the wire bendiing machine required to make the fenders. it is expensive and the potential for recoup is small. i would figure 200 sets of rear fenders would flood the market. would be nice to have a source...
