The center hole in mine is welded closed. I was told this was done in the later versions to prevent mud impingement in the mechanism. Mine are routed directly over the center of the joint on top of the cross members.
Originally the hole through the swivel was for the driveline to pass through on a conventional rear differential. Obviously since ours are offset, they changed things around a bit. But still with the driveline going through the center, the brake, fuel and wires were routed across the top.

The truck shown above may be getting a Willock swivel out of a wrecked F600 ford I've found up North. It has a Coleman Front axle (I believe) which were sold by Willock also. The driveline passes through the center of the joint. I'm going to have to Fabricate new cross members as the ones in the ford are all but destroyed.
