I have the 318 with a mild RV cam for a bit more torque and an Edelbrock 500 CFM carb, and Sanderson headers into a 2.5 inch exhaust. I have the NP 435 4 speed and the 5.83 diff gearingTranny, . When at 50 mph I get about 9 MPG; when at 40, it jumps to about 11.
