Cabs are cheap. I wasn't REALLY committed until I took the sawzall to the bed.
Here's the pic of the before of the truck. Every panel is pitted, every panel needed a patch welded in. Cab needed replacement. It was the rare early 2nd series, but I did have to weld new pipes for the edges. It wasn't as if I cut up a show-room new, highly collectible truck.
