I've had several stick. Most recent was on an M37 that I drove last year. Fortunately it broke loose by starting in neutral, slamming it in gear and going back and forth roughly a few times. Not sure what it is that makes them stick more than other makes. Maybe more ways for moisture to get in and rust it, or a facing material that absorbs moisture or or sticks more easily to rust. I wonder if new non-asbestos linings are as likely to stick as the old ones. It seems like old asbestos brake shoes and brake bands tended to stick more than new ones do, but maybe it's just because they're old.
