Another factor may be where the vehicle is "from" (if the seller is honest about that).
Any vehicle from the northeast U.S., especially, is very suspect due to all the rain, snow, humidity and above all, salt on the roads in winter it was exposed to.
My PW came from N.Y. State. It was a fire truck and thus kept inside, or it would have been totally eaten by rust. As it was, the left side sheet metal was pretty rusted and needed a lot of new metal welded in. The left side was worse I believe because it was exposed to more road salt in the middle of the road vs. the sides, in winter up there.
If I saw a truck advertised from a desert environment, I would be more likely to pursue it for this reason.
But, as many have said, you can't downplay the importance of a personal visit.
