Value is typically the price that a similar item has sold for in the past. Not what several individuals decide its worth. If a type item has no sales history, the value is whatever the buyer will pay. It then becomes a basis for valuation of a like item, if offered for sale. Areas of the country and many other factors determine selling price.......even color. In the long run, value is what the buyer will pay.
