Manuals say to use chasis grease, but I don't like it. It breaks down even the synthetic stuff and make it way to the axle flanges, out past the felt seals, etc. The best grease I've used and I will stay with it is Castrol heavy duty brake drum wheel bearing grease. Does not break down to liquid form and stays inside the knuckle area. Best grease I've used yet.
