I had this problem with one years ago, I found the PCV valve was plugged, it goess into the intake manifoild under the carb. If it is not plugged, check the hole going into in intake and see if carbon has built up causing a blockage and loss of vacuum through the PCV. Easy fix! The PCV valve has an arrow stamped into it showing direction of air flow (towards the intake mainifold ) It should 'rattle' if you remove it and shake it. If not, take it apart and clean with solvent. There is a small sring and check ball inside. Good luck!
