I credit Black Bear Pass with getting me into four-wheel drives in the first place. I was six in 1979 starring up at Bridal Veil Falls from downtown Telluride. Everyone told us we had to have four wheel drive to get up there. It took me twenty years, but finally got up there, and I was not disappointed.
Last summer I did it again in a rented Grand Cherokee with no low range.
