Hey Terry, i haven't seen the headliners that other companies have made, but the color i got was Black, its made of a "ply-board" (or an 1/8" thick card board), the back side is brown 'cardboard' the other side is a low-gloss black, with the side panels stitched up with real vinyl. It looks really professional, i will be installing it fairly soon, so i may be able to take a few pictures tonight and send them over to you.

When it was shipped it was "rolled up" so i had to leave it sitting indoors in a warm (not dry) environment (my living room) for a couple days so it could unroll itself without cracking.

I had mine shipped to a friend of mine in up-state new york, and they brought it up to me in their Honda CRV (little SUV), there was no problems with fitting it in.

Also, your pictures don't look like you have a Dodge Tailgate? Are you missing one?
