I haven't visited the forum in a couple of days and just saw your post.
I live in PA and used Broadway Title to get a title for my truck.
First step is to go to an auto dealer or notary public and get them to run a PA form DL-135 using the VIN # of your truck.
This is a search of Pa's records to see if there is anyone in PA listed as the owner of your truck.
If that comes up negative, that is there is no record of anyone in Pa owning the truck then you can go ahead and use Broadway title. If they find an owner of the truck in their records you cannot use Broadway title.
You pay their fee and fill out their online form. What you are doing is selling your truck to Broadway title. No money other than their fee ever changes hands. The form is a bill of sale. They are located in Alabama and can use that bill of sale to get you an Alabama title for your truck.
They send you an Alabama title and bill of sale which means they sell your truck back to you. Take the Alabama title and bill of sale to your local notary and apply for a Pa title.
They will give you a temporary plate and a pink slip. You can drive the truck immediately and you will get a Pa title in the mail in a few weeks.
I did this with no problems. After one year I then applied for and received an antique plate.
