My 67 W500 has a New Process 435 D4 has different gear spacing than the 435 D3 Granny, with the D4 gear spacing is different hardly ever use 1st a super granny lol start in 2nd and she will make turns and corners in 3rd at under 2000 rpm. That is the transmission stated on the ID plate on the truck. It also has twin PTO ports. The medium duty trucks have same trans. I was going to change mine when it was giving some problems due to trashed syncronizers but only 4x4's have twin PTO ports 4x2's have single ports so I rebuilt mine since both PTO's were in use. It was an EZ rebuild most anyone that could do a motor can do this trans. The tranfer case is a Rockwell as is the H141 rear end and Rockwell-Timkin front axle, 688 gearing. email if you have other questions had mine about 6yrs so have learned alot about the series. I have the original owners manual as well a 4x4 factory service manual. email is ram6962@yahoo.com
