I milled 80 thousands (.080) for about a point in compression. I first checked valve clearance with clay and it wasn't an issue. I found I needed a cooler plug or I burned the electrodes off. I went from a R45 to a R43 Delco plug at the time.

I also changed to an electronic distributor, a reground cam, and an exhaust header.
