I think if you check in the Advance Adapter catalog you'll find a problem with switching inputs on GM early boxes to Dodge NV4500s. I found the earlier GM 6.34 low gear NV4500's had a input shaft that doesn't interchange. (Dodge didn't have the lower ratio low gear) The input is shorter and a different pilot dia. Sold my "wrong" GM NV4500 to a Chevy guy.
