Ok, here is official reply I got back from Chrysler, hope this dispels some of the rumors.

Your e-mail was forwarded to me for response as I manage the Archives for the Chrysler Group.
The internet article that you have attached is misleading. The Chrysler Archives are alive and well and no corporate information was disposed of. While the Engineering Library was closed, any and all information and material that is relevant to the history of Chrysler was transferred to the Archives well before it was closed. The build cards that you are concerned about are still within the archives and available to the public.
