I have a swapped in 4bt with an NP435, with the 435 I think my first is a hair lower than the 420 so it feels like 2nd low is a little higher than 1st gear high but I am not certain of this. With the stock tranny I believe 1st high is just a bit higher than 2nd low.
Third low was way too high ever with only one rear wheel driving.
