The easiest way to describe this truck, is that every part of this truck was completely rebuilt. You will never find a truck of this age and design in better condition. We have won the Orlando truck show and the Daytona Truck Show with this truck. The picture shown is the Best Of Show trophy from the Orlando Truck Show. It is registered and covered under my insurance carrier and is driven on the weekends. Insurance is $78 a year. Although I wouldn’t consider this a daily driver, it is completely reliable. We also took it to the Mud Bogs in Bithlo and it never got stuck. This is the original monster truck.

It originally was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division in Ft. Bragg, N.C. The truck is all original with the exception of modifications which were made to make it compatible and streetable today. It still has the 230 c.i. flathead six cylinder which was also rebuilt. Some of the upgrades include:

* Electric Windshield Washers.
* An NP200 two speed transfer case.
* An NP420 4 speed transmission.
* Braden LU4 front winch drive off of a PTO.
* Canvas cover for the bed of the truck (not shown).
* Pioneer kit (Axe, Shovel and Pick) are attached to the rear bed of the truck.
* An Alternator from an M35 6x6 to replace the old style, stock Generator
* New batteries, the electrical system is 24 volt.
* A keyed, battery cutoff switch to prevent battery drain while not in use.
* Change from 5.83 ratio gearing to 4.86 ring and pinion gears in the pumpkins for additional highway speed.
* Selectro 16 spline lockout hubs are installed on the front axles to improve gas mileage. I also have an extra set of Superwinch hubs and the original hubs that will go with the truck.
* A fording kit is installed to waterproof engine (the snorkel pipe in the picture).
* A change in tires from 9.00x16 military NDT tires to 9.00x20 NDT military tires off an M35 6x6.
* Tires are in excellent shape with good rubber.
* All new Datcon backlight gages and sending units vs. the old style military gages. All gages work and are calibrated correctly. The older style gages are in the first picture. The newer Datcon gages are in the lower picture. I still have the original Gage cluster and it will be sold with the truck.
* New hardened steel axles.
* A heater/defroster is installed and functional. (box with the silver pipe coming out of it).
* Rebuilt motor with sterite valves to accept today’s gasoline.
* An Offenhauser street cam to improve RPM.
* The distributor was changed from the old point style to an solid state electronic ignition to improve engine performance.
* All oil used, including gear oil is Amsoil Synthetic Oil.
* Additional bed lighting in the rear.
* Additional off-road lights in front.
* An electronic fuel pump in addition to the manual fuel pump. This is installed as a parallel backup unit if such a situation arose.
* A complete Excel spreadsheet of all components with a cross reference to current NAPA part numbers.
* All military maintenance manuals for this truck are included in the sale.
* A ton of extra parts are included in the sale also.

Being that this is a 1951 truck, all sales are final and the buyer is responsible for either picking up or transporting. After an offer is received and agreed upon, a 20% deposit is required in 24 hours to hold the truck for a period of 10 days. After 10 days, full payment must be made. If after 30 days, the buyer does not pick up or transport the truck, the seller has the right to all monies and title to the truck remains in the sellers name.
